From the Health Room
Please stop by the health room no later than THURSDAY JUNE 8TH to pick up your child’s medication. Students who have medication here at school should have recieved a letter stating such. ALL MEDICATION NOT PICKED UP BY A PARENT WILL BE DISPOSED OF ON THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL. This includes Epipens and asthma inhalers.

Talent Show Director Needed
Are you ready to jump on board for next year? Consider leading the St. Gabe’s talent show. We are in need of a chair for the event, which is planned for the end of the school year next year. That’s 12 whole months. PLENTY of time to gear up. Contact Kelly Nalitz for information.

Please Support our End-of-Year Teacher/Staff Collection
The end of year is approaching and this is the last opportunity to say thank you to our wonderful teachers and staff.  All teachers, assistants, special teachers, administration, office personnel, nurses, cafeteria and maintenance staff will share in this fund.  Please use this link to contribute online or send through the office with a check made payable to St. Gabriel PTO (marked EOY collection).  The collection will end Thursday, May 25th and as always contributions are completely voluntary.

Grades 3-5 Book Drive for Freedom School
Do you have grades 3 – 5 books your family no longer needs?  Donate them to the Student Council’s book drive for Freedom School!  Bins will be available in the school lobby from Monday, May 22, through Friday, June 2.  St. Gabriel Church co-hosts Freedom School’s summer literacy and character development program for low income children at Oakhurst Academy.  Your books will make a big difference for these children!  

Carpool Volunteers Needed
We L-O-V-E the convenience of our new, super-efficient carpool system, but behind that efficiency are our teachers working hard to get over 500 students safely into their cars in less than an hour. Now, we all know that we have superhero teachers, but that’s a tough job for even the mightiest.  Let’s help them.
From now until the end of the year, we need TWO parent volunteers to help load the littles into their cars. Ideally, the volunteers will be able to commit to a full week, as there is just a small learning curve with the job. Take a look at your calendars and consider helping from 2-3 pm for one week before school ends.

Jr. Disciples Club
Our generous community can make a difference again this year!   During the month of May, Junior Disciples Club will be hosting a NEW Shoe and NEW Sock drive benefiting Samaritan's Feet. 
We will be happy to collect NEW items, greatest need is for male adult sizes.  This is our school's chance to make a direct difference through Samaritan's Feet mission to provided continued assistance to refugees.  All donations collected will be delivered to Lesvos, Greece this July. Approximately, 3500 refugees are still living in camps on Lesvos.  To kick off our school's shoe drive, 20 students and parents participated in a Samaritan's Feet warehouse/shoe processing day. Thank you very much to everyone who came out to support this important cause.
