Garden Club

The garden club is an opportunity for students in 2nd to 5th grade to meet 1-2 times a month to learn about the natural world around us and the duties we have to care for it. Students will learn about a variety of subjects, including how to grow plants, the parts of plants, different types of ecosystems, and ways to reduce the carbon threat facing our natural world. Students learn through working in the garden and through a classroom setting, where experiments and crafts make the lessons a tactile and visual experience. The goal of the club is to inspire children to spend more time outdoors and even to make small changes in their lifestyles to work on saving our planet.
